Aryanna Perez

CubeSat Structures – Project Leader

2024-2025

About

Aryanna Perez is an Aerospace Engineering major at the University of Notre Dame, with an expected graduation in 2025. Originally from Union, NJ, Aryanna lived in Lewis Hall but now lives off-campus at Irish Row.

On campus, she is heavily involved in both academic and extracurricular activities, serving as a Teaching Assistant for AME Lab 2, a Student Shop Manager in LaFortune, and a participant in Indoor Co-Rec Intramural Soccer. She also conducts undergraduate research on thermal-regulated battery housing systems for satellites.

Aryanna’s research experience spans various fields, including developing thermal-regulated battery housing for small satellites under Professor Maria Warren and working with Professor Margaret Coad on soft robotics. She also conducted research at Trinity College Dublin on flexible heat pipe systems for foldable electronics through the Naughton Fellowship. Last summer, she interned with the Non-Destructive Evaluation Team at SpaceX.

As the CubeSat Chief Structural Engineer for IrishSat, her favorite memory is building the Helmholtz Cage during her freshman year—a project she didn’t fully understand at the time but now considers one of IrishSat’s most advanced technological achievements in satellite development.
