Elena Saez is an Aerospace Engineering major from Barrington, IL, living in Cavanaugh Hall, with a minor in Computational Engineering. She is a junior and expects to graduate in 2026.

Elena is involved in IrishSAT, Undergraduate Research in CFD, Theology Mentoring, Cavanaugh Hall Council, and Sigma Gamma Tau. She is currently conducting research in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) with Dr. Zahr. Elena has also worked as an undergraduate research assistant for Dr. Evan Kirby and Dr. Matthew Zahr, and interned as a Test and Evaluation Engineering Intern at Holloman Air Force Base.

As the Chief Engineer of GOAT Structures, her favorite IrishSat memory is the tradition of throwing their CTO in the air at the annual banquet!
