Chief Technology Officer – Executive
2024-2025
About
Isaac Brej is an Electrical Engineering major at the University of Notre Dame, hailing from Medina, Ohio, and resided in Carroll Hall. He is also pursuing a minor in Engineering Corporate Practice and expects to graduate in 2025.
On campus, Isaac holds leadership roles, including Director of Community Outreach on the Engineering Leadership Council and is involved in RF antenna research. He collaborates with Dr. Chisum’s lab, working on designing and fabricating RF circuits to support novel antenna designs, aiming to enhance high-frequency communications systems.
Isaac has gained valuable internship experience as a Software Engineering Intern at MathWorks in the summer of 2023, and as an Avionic Components Intern for Vulcan Development at United Launch Alliance during the summer of 2024.
As IrishSat’s Chief Technology Officer, Isaac’s favorite memory stems from his freshman year during one of the club’s first high-altitude balloon launches. Packed into a small truck with fellow members Peter Harkins and Zach Zarzaur, they chased the payload across the countryside, only to find it had fallen into a lake. After borrowing kayaks and a paddle board from a friendly local, they spent the day searching for the hardware. Despite not retrieving it, the adventure and camaraderie fostered Isaac’s love for IrishSat.
