GOAT Lab

The Orbital, Attitude, Thermal Laboratory is in charge of designing satellite testing systems to simulate conditions experienced during launch and orbit.

We create systems that test attitude control, vibrations, orbital simulation, and thermal cycling verification.

This past year, the team constructed a Helmholtz cage to simulate the electromagnetic fields of low-earth orbit.

This coming year, we will be focusing on vibration testing, thermal vacuum testing, and the addition of a sun-tracking simulator.
