Safety Lead (2025-2026)

Stephen Tirpak is an Aerospace Engineering major from Cleveland, Ohio, serving as the Safety Lead for IrishSat. He is involved across campus as a Notre Dame Tour Guide, a Tradition Commissioner in Duncan Hall, and a member of the Gaelic Athletic Association. He also pursues minors in Irish Studies and Engineering Corporate Practice, combining technical perspective with cultural and organizational interests.

Stephen conducts research with Professors Powers and Matous, focusing on wavelet-based simulations of shock wave interactions in multi-material systems. His experience includes engineering internship work and hands-on laboratory involvement. Among his favorite IrishSat memories is the freshman-year banquet, where he had the chance to celebrate the team’s accomplishments. He brings enthusiasm, diligence, and a strong commitment to safety to the IrishSat leadership team.
